Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its landscape. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic adventure. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating, chef Burrell lived in Italy for a year, studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) in Tuscany. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for juvenile diabetics. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share my passion for life with people.
