Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division in the UFC. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC other fighter, is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won an additional medal in the year 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has won several championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was with a majority. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the title via TKO at the end of round 2 and was able to take home two fights following, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She quit the club in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera using knees. Antonina took an UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. But, she fell in her second fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina returned to the ring after losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
