Colson Kelly, also known as Machine Gun Kelly is best recognized for his unique way he raps. Baker was born in Houston, Texas U.S. on April 22nd 1990 to parents who were of English Scottish German descent. In his early years Baker, he spent a good amount of time travelling with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed as Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Baker and his dad moved to Denver and lived at the house of his dad's aunt. The other kids of the neighborhood had a tendency to bully Baker for being poor. When he was in sixth grade, he began listening to rap. Colson Kelly Baker was born 22 April 1990 in Texas, United States. The music he creates is a blend of contemporary hip-hop and alternative, as well as rock. Prior to making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to 2010. The Cleveland rapper, who wrote songs at the speed that of a fast bullet saw an explosion of popularity when at the end of 2011, Baker moved from self-released mixtapes to established labels. His career took off after that, with each of his records making the top ten charts.
